Great career opportunity for Senior Operations Manager / General Manager who has experience in the electrical service industry to manage their own business unit.

This business unit is located in the North West and is part of a larger group of businesses who are experts in their field as a leading electrical contractor with service and maintenance offerings on both LV and HV.

As Senior Operations Manager / General Manager you will be responsible for:

• Full P&L (c.£10 million).
• Commercial responsibility for whole business unit.
• Managing a varying team across admin and engineering.
• H&S and HR.
• Developing and delivering budgets in line with forecasts.
• Identifying and assisting to win new business.
• Assist in sharing knowledge and ideas on HV & LV engineering work, installation, and maintenance business.

The company provides a variety of services on both LV and HV for design, erection, testing and commissioning for new installations and refurbishments of electrical systems up to 33kV.

You may already be at a Senior Operations or General Manager level and looking for a new challenge or feel you have the skills and experience, but not quite obtained this level of role yet and looking for the next step in your career.

Ideally seeking an experienced and formally qualified electrical engineer who has developed their skills and experience into management and is ready and able to manage a whole business unit. The business unit is operating well, and there is more potential in the region to grow further with your guidance and experience!

Required experience of Senior Operations Manager / General Manager:

• Ideally HNC / HND or Degree in electrical engineering.
• IOSH / NEBOSH.
• Experience from an electrical contracting environment and technically competent.
• Ideally HV and LV knowledge (up to 33KV).
• Interpersonal skills at all organisational levels.
• Full P&L experience in millions £.
• Ability to identify and win new business.
