What makes us different…

We think you’ll find us a little different to other recruitment consultants you may have come across. That’s because we are true recruitment consultants, ones that actually consult. In our view it’s a critical difference and you’ll quickly see it in the way we work with you. A recruitment process that is based on receiving a job description and sending a CV will never give you a great result. What will match the ideal candidate with their dream job is a truly consultative approach.

Work is a major part of anyone’s life, so let’s make it as enjoyable and rewarding as possible! Whether you are searching for a new role or looking to recruit someone for your team, the chemistry has to be right.

How do we achieve that? Well, we listen and truly hear you. On paper a CV could be a perfect match to a job description. But it’s only when you speak to that person and listen to their experience, their skills and motivations, that you can truly empathise with their needs and desires. And until you speak to a business and appreciate their culture, values and processes you can’t expect to fully understand their business and requirements. After all, we are matching people, not pieces of paper.

Whether searching for that next career step or recruiting for your business, our aim is to make your life easier and the process as simple as possible.

Our recruitment services include:

  • Permanent search and selection
  • Retained Executive search (Including DiSC profiling)
  • Contractors & Interims

I left school at 16 with the world at my feet but no idea what to do! After falling into recruitment in 1993 I discovered that I loved it and have done ever since. I may not be a qualified engineer, but I learned a lot from my Dad who was a pretty nifty Maintenance Engineer. What gives me a thrill every day is finding people their dream job and delivering great people to work for our customers.

Starting out in the engineering field as an apprentice at MG Rover, I progressed into a few other areas to gain more experience. As a result I think I can claim to be a pretty rounded individual! My career took me from automotive engineering, into logistics, then into technical sales for both low and high cost products, gaining me valuable business acumen. I joined Wagstaff in 2012 and as they say the rest is history! I do love the technical detail when we get a challenging role to work on and it always feels fantastic to help both client and candidate make a great match.

I’ve spent my career working in ‘people’ businesses in various sectors. As a chartered management accountant, I love professional businesses that offer a fantastic service – I think I must like people more than products. Your working life is a big deal and it’s brilliant to be part of a team who are committed to helping people get the best from their career, whatever stage they may be at.

After serving time within the civil service, financial services and customer service sectors, I was given the opportunity to work at Wagstaff. I love the day to day searching for new candidates and the buzz of getting good people into work. I’ll never give up on a tough role and, whilst others may, I have the patience to keep on searching until I find the right match.

Having spent 14 years in Chicago, I returned home in May 2016 and started working for Wagstaff in July 2016. It's safe to say I haven’t looked back since. I love being the ‘go to’ person and thrive on helping others, especially supporting our contractors and the Wagstaff team every day. Really, nothing is too much trouble.

Having spent the majority of my career successfully helping people on their personal journeys of moving home, I made the move into recruitment after becoming a mum for the first time. I love nothing more than problem solving and helping people, and after a change in career myself I understand how stressful the process can be. I’ll always do my best to try and make the process as smooth as possible. I pride myself on being open and honest. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to see how I can help.

After spending all of my working life being involved in the equine world, I decided it was time to find something different to get my teeth into! I fell into the recruitment industry on a search for a fulfilling career and am now completing my apprenticeship with Wagstaff. I love being able to help, whether it’s from an admin or resourcing point of view and really enjoy working on our social media and marketing.

After a long and successful career in Estate Agency I made the decision I wanted a new challenge. I have always loved helping people and naturally gravitated towards recruitment as I knew I could continue to help people achieve their goals. Listening to and understanding customer's needs, making the right connection and seeing people happy with their new jobs is what I enjoy most.

When I Ieft college at 18, I walked into a recruitment agency and had no idea what I wanted to do. I was placed within a week in a wonderful company selling cabling and communications. Eleven years later, I decided to move into recruitment so that I could help people find their amazing new careers. Working with people is what I love doing so I have the perfect job for me - and I want to help others find their perfect role too.
