What makes us different…

We think you’ll find us a little different to other recruitment consultants you may have come across. That’s because we are true recruitment consultants, ones that actually consult. In our view it’s a critical difference and you’ll quickly see it in the way we work with you. A recruitment process that is based on receiving a job description and sending a CV will never give you a great result. What will match the ideal candidate with their dream job is a truly consultative approach.

Work is a major part of anyone’s life, so let’s make it as enjoyable and rewarding as possible! Whether you are searching for a new role or looking to recruit someone for your team, the chemistry has to be right.

How do we achieve that? Well, we listen and truly hear you. On paper a CV could be a perfect match to a job description. But it’s only when you speak to that person and listen to their experience, their skills and motivations, that you can truly empathise with their needs and desires. And until you speak to a business and appreciate their culture, values and processes you can’t expect to fully understand their business and requirements. After all, we are matching people, not pieces of paper.

Whether searching for that next career step or recruiting for your business, our aim is to make your life easier and the process as simple as possible.

Our recruitment services include:

  • Permanent search and selection
  • Retained Executive search (Including DiSC profiling)
  • Contractors & Interims

I left school at 16 with the world at my feet but no idea what to do! After falling into recruitment in 1993 I discovered that I loved it and have done ever since. I may not be a qualified engineer, but I learned a lot from my Dad who was a pretty nifty Maintenance Engineer. What gives me a thrill every day is finding people their dream job and delivering great people to work for our customers.

Starting out in the engineering field as an apprentice at MG Rover, I progressed into a few other areas to gain more experience. As a result I think I can claim to be a pretty rounded individual! My career took me from automotive engineering, into logistics, then into technical sales for both low and high cost products, gaining me valuable business acumen. I joined Wagstaff in 2012 and as they say the rest is history! I do love the technical detail when we get a challenging role to work on and it always feels fantastic to help both client and candidate make a great match.

I’ve spent my career working in ‘people’ businesses in various sectors. As a chartered management accountant, I love professional businesses that offer a fantastic service – I think I must like people more than products. Your working life is a big deal and it’s brilliant to be part of a team who are committed to helping people get the best from their career, whatever stage they may be at.

Having spent 14 years in Chicago, I returned home in May 2016 and started working for Wagstaff in July 2016. It's safe to say I haven’t looked back since. I love being the ‘go to’ person and thrive on helping others, especially supporting our contractors and the Wagstaff team every day. Really, nothing is too much trouble.

I’d worked in the equine industry ever since leaving school, but one day decided it was time for a change. I came across Wagstaff on my search for something that utilised my skills and before I knew it, I’d completed a recruitment apprenticeship with them! I’m now enjoying a varied but valuable role within compliance, administration, resourcing and even marketing! Careers are important so it’s great to be involved in a team dedicated to helping people find their career path.

After leaving school, I went to work in administration and soon found myself drifting towards customer service support roles. I have been fortunate enough to experience working in a variety of industry sectors ranging from specialist vehicle manufacturers to PPE providers which has given me the opportunity to work with some amazing people along the way. In 2019 I found myself seeking a new challenge and was lucky enough to find Wagstaff Recruitment! Being a Forces wife, I’ve found myself on the applicant side of recruitment more than a few times over the years and what I love about my new role is that I get to help others find their new role in the ever changing marketplace!

A 360 recruiter specialising in heavy industrial engineering. From my first day in recruitment, I caught the bug! The buzz of supporting my clients with key projects or getting to know a candidate and helping to place them into the right contracts gives me a satisfaction that I have not been able to find in any other job. I’m looking forward to growing my recruitment expertise alongside Wagstaff for years to come.
