Warehouse Team Manager | c. £34,000

 

Are you a successful and experienced Warehouse, Production or Manufacturing Shift Manager looking for a new challenge then we may have the opportunity for you !

Exciting opportunities with great career potential are available to join a leading retailer at their fully automated distribution centre (DC) in Derbyshire as Warehouse Shift Managers.

The Shift Manager roles are on the NIGHT shift only and will include an additional shift premium for this. Starting times vary between 6pm and 7pm dependent on area of the Warehouse.

Role Description:

The Warehouse Shift Team Managers are responsible for managing the people and processes within a set operational area of the automated DC. You will also be responsible for delivering a safe, efficient working environment embracing a culture of operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach, lead, motivate and develop your team by role modelling the company Values.
  • Delivery of effective communications and briefings.
  • Manage operational processes to maximise the opportunity for productivity, optimise storage and conveyor utilisation, escalate issues and engage stakeholders.
  • Support the Senior Managers in planning, managing and adjusting staffing levels.
  • Drive a culture of health and safety through leading by example.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement using Operational Excellence principles.
  • Ensure quality metrics are delivered at all stages of the process.

You will need to have experience in the following roles to be considered, Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Team Leader or in a similar role in an automated manufacturing site.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a large scale distribution facility within efulfilment or similar fast paced industry.
  • Proven track record in leading teams to achieve, or exceed, operational targets.
  • Customer focused and aware of the customer requirements for quality, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Understand commercial outcomes of decisions and the impact on other areas.
  • Understanding of Operational Excellence/Continuous improvement tools, techniques and problem resolution skills with the ability to apply these skills.
  • Accomplished at motivating others within a logistics environment and able to develop an individual’s skill and experience.
