VACANCY 929 | INTERNAL SALES REP/ACCT. MANAGER/CUSTOMER SVC REP | COMPETITIVE SALARY PACKAGE

Experienced Internal Sales Representative/Account Manager/Customer Service Representative required to join a globally operating manufacturer of metal products in their Sales department. The company operates in multiple different sectors and this exciting role is to work within the UK sales team at the Head Office near Birmingham.

As an Internal Sales Representative/Account Manager you will initially be tasked with proactively contacting a detailed list of previous customers who are currently not purchasing to try and turn these around. You will be provided with marketing material and information to assist. This is expected to take 2 to 3 months with the final aim to have a list of potential customers that can be cultivated to start purchasing again.

Once you understand the business and start to turn customers around your responsibilities will cover a number of areas including: managing sales opportunities, retain and grow revenues across accounts, single point of contact for all inbound and outbound enquiries for this group of customers and where appropriate support the field based sales team.

Responsibilities of Internal Sales Representative:

  • Contacting list of opportunity accounts.
  • Retain and grow revenue in line with set targets.
  • Build and execute a contact and account strategy for each account.
  • Build strong relationships with decision makers across the accounts.
  • Act as a single point of contact for queries or issues, and liaise with internal departments.
  • Respond to inbound sales enquiries quickly liaising with the relevant team to win new business.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities across the account base.
  • Account support as required, desk based research on potential growth accounts, identifying organisations and relevant contact points for either direct approach or support by the external sales team.
  • Take responsibility for building and maintaining industry and competitor knowledge.
  • Account visit a defined number of the key accounts on a quarterly basis where appropriate.
  • Prepare quotations based upon company pricing structure/policy and negotiate with customers, ensuring appropriate margins are achieved.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • B2B sales experience via telephone with an excellent record of achieving targets is essential.
  • 5 GSCE’s or O levels including Maths & English.
  • Sales or marketing qualifications (desirable).
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
