Education and Careers Advice

Our future generations matter. We believe we have a responsibility to try and inspire the next generation and give true careers advice on the great opportunities available in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.

We feel we are in a great position, we have great relationships with a variety of business and recruit for various disciplines where the skills and attributes required vary.

Showcasing all that is available to pupils is a challenge; how do their teachers get to know that a pupil with great people skills and who has gained leadership experience through clubs and social events, could transfer those skills into shift and production management roles and become a high-earning leader within some great companies?

We help to get these messages across by:

  • Working with local schools, educating the pupils on what employers are truly looking for.
  • Attending careers days in schools, conducting workshops on interview preparation and how to be the best candidate for a job.
  • Offering a balanced view on the different routes into employment, the advantages for apprenticeships and further education.
  • Supporting careers fairs.
  • Being dragons in “dragons den” events.

As a management team we have all taken different paths throughout our careers; our Finance Manager Sarah went to University, Stuart was an Engineering Apprentice and studied whilst he worked gaining his Engineering Degree, and our Founder Ruth left school at 16 with no ideas and had not been inspired at all during her school years.

Hence why we are so passionate about trying to inspire the next generation. Luckily Ruth was inspired at 19 when joining a great independent recruitment business who recognised her strengths and supported her development as a recruitment consultant. The rest, as they say, is history!

We have various leaflets on helping school leavers to prepare for interview and guidance in the work place. Click Here to request education and careers leaflets.
