2013 – Manufacturing has a great future

Manufacturing has a great future in the UK despite the surging economies of China and India,

Recently he was part of a 30-strong delegation to Westminster to see Business Secretary Vince Cable — who is also Secretary of State for UK Export Finance — to lobby for more support for manufacturing businesses.

Mr Cable agreed afterwards in an interview with BBC local radio that there was “real growth in the manufacturing industry even when the rest of the economy was struggling” and that the UK had “some superb companies with world class technology.”

Business leaders throughout the Midlands have commented that : “Manufacturing has been a “forgotten” sector for a long time — and that needs to change.”
